HFC 227ea CYLINDER
DEMCO’s HFC227ea (CF3CHFCF3 Heptafluoropropane) is a UL listed colourless, odourless, liquefied compressed gas. It suppresses fire primarily by physically cooling down the flame through lowering temperature to a point at which combustion reactions cannot be sustained.

As a waterless fire suppressant, it leaves no residue, water or corrosion. It has acceptable toxicity for use in occupied spaces at design concentration. It can be used on many types of fires. It is environmentally friendly. It has zero ozone-depleting potential, low global warning potential and short atmospheric lifetime.

ELECTRONIC SELENOID (MODEL CP 50025-2 / CP 91225-2)

Our Electronic solenoid valve is a normally closed valve requiring electrical energy to open. It is used to vent the pressure from the top of the piston in the cylinder valve, allowing the piston to slide upward and commence cylinder discharge. The electric solenoid valves are available in 6, 12, 24V DC and 120V AC.

The source of the electrical energy must be supervised for a break in the wiring, a ground or a short circuit. The cylinder discharge valve equipped with a solenoid valve is actuated by the control panel for releasing devices and is compatible with Context Plus clean agent systems.

FLEXIBLE HOSE
This flexible hose is used to connect the cylinders valve to discharge piping. The hose has a grooved fitting at the cylinder end and a male groove fitting to connect to the piping.

DEMCO’s hoses are made of high pressure hydraulic rubber in the 1’’ to 1-1/2’’ sizes and of stainless steel in the 2-1/2’’ and 4’’ sizes. The stainless steel flexible braided hose may be installed horizontally or with a 90 degree bend radius.

PISTON ACTUATOR (MODEL CP 61041)

The Piston Actuator is used for multiple / manifold systems. it has a pneumatically driven piston that depresses a Schrader check valve, thereby venting the pressure from the top of the piston in the cylinder valve, allowing the piston to slide upward and commence cylinder discharge. The pneumatic pressure require to operate the piston actuator is obtained from the “M” port of the cylinder that is designed as “Master” cylinder and is either mechanically and/or electrically actuated. It is made of high quality Brass, and mounts directly on top of the cylinder valves.

LOCAL MANUAL CONTROL HEAD (MODEL CP 61033)

The Local Manual Control Head features a local lever driven that depresses a Schrader check valve, thereby venting the pressure from the top of the piston in the cylinder valve. This allow the piston to slide upward and commence cylinder discharge.The Local Manual Control Head mounts directly to a top plug adapter, which is located at the top of the cylinder valve. It is used for manual actuation of cylinder, and made of solid Brass. It is self-venting with a safety pin to prevent accidental discharge.

PRESSURE SUPERVISORY SWITCH (MODEL CP 50138-2 (NO) / CP 50138-1 (NC)

The Pressure Supervisory Switch is used to monitor the pressure within the Clean Agent cylinder. If a cylinder has leaking, and the pressure drops to below 291±10 psig, the switch contacts will be activated, providing a signal to the Release Control Panel to indicate lost of pressure and/or leakages. The pressure supervisory switch is wired into a supervised circuit to give a trouble signal upon activation. 

One version of the switch is normally closed (N.C.) (Part Number: CP 50138-1) and the other version is normally open (N.O.) (Part Number: CP 50138-2). The Pressure Supervisory Switch is referenced in the pressure condition.

INDOOR EXTINGUSHANT SYSTEM ANCILLARIES

The shrouded push-button design on Extinguishant Abort Switch D-108-POS-EA and System Abort Switch D-508-EA helps prevent inadvertent operation during the cancelation of extinguishant release sequence. In addition, D-508-EA consists of corrosion-resistance stainless steel faceplate and a modular switch assembly designed to mount on a standard double gang electrical enclosure. Resettable Extinguishant Release Call Point D-108-POS-ER’s simple ‘RESET’ mechanism consist of ABS plastic operating element that simulates break glass activation which is instantly reusable with no glass elements to break, lose or incorrectly fit when installing.

D-108-POS-EHO Extinguishant Hold Off Switch’s raised push button design is good for quick positive operation or momentary actuation when delaying the immenent suppression agent’s release.
